Boating and beer are a perfect mix. The Crate is a pub with a brewery attached, just by the bridge to the Olympic Park. It has a real buzz, a friendly atmosphere, and some of London’s finest craft pints. Someone’s realised that the best thing with beer is pizza, so it’s just a pizza menu, but the sage and truffle one, with the Crate IPA, is sublime. Before you go, check that there’s not a West Ham home game on at the Olympic stadium, because when there is, the fans come out in their football shirts and swamp what is usually a hipster pub and get really, really drunk on craft beer.
Craft ale made in site and the most amazing pizzas. The perfect spot for a lazy afternoon, you can watch the boats go by on the canal, listen to the DJ spin some tunes and it really doesn't feel like you're in London!!
“Number 90 Bar & Kitchen is a well-known and much-loved, canal-side venue in Hackney Wick, offering fantastic food made from locally sourced produce; an expansive drink menu – including an array of exciting cocktails and, as you might expect, a strong range of craft beers; art and music events; and phenomenal service. Aware that it is celebrated for its relaxed and welcoming vibe, Sated sauntered on down to this old favourite to try something a little different – an off-the-menu burger that was it was rumoured would bring us to our knees.”
“Here's another hidden gem. This one is right next to CRATE Brewery. It has more variety in terms of beers, and the space is slightly bigger if you're trying to find a table. In terms of food, there's a great BBQ joint in Howling Hops as well as some other snacks you can get. Definitely worth the visit!”
“Bar by the canal. You can find on their website several events - from Dj's to Live music”
“beautiful space, where you can do yoga, different classes also having nice food... ”
“Act out your teen fantasies and wallow in ‘80s nostalgia at this cluttered, ersatz homage to John Hughes’s cult movie – and tribute to the most important meal of the day. Breakfast takes centre stage (natch), but this branch of the popular Breakfast Club chain runs right through from brunch to dinner.”
