Lands End Trail
If you’re a nature lover, or even if you’re not, this place is truly magical. Hiking on a trail above the water, you get to see the Golden Gate Bridge, where the Pacific Ocean flows into the Bay. The views are both breathtaking and romantic. With the wind blowing in your hair, holding hands throughout the hike, it’s very San Francisco. Set off on your hike early afternoon, and follow it up with a meal at the nearby Cliff House restaurant while the sun sets over the Pacific. The colors are amazing.
Beautiful (and easy) hiking trail overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. Pick a sunny day for the views although I also love the misty fog or as we call him, Karl the Fog! He even has his own instagram @KarlTheFog
Lovely walk along the south west of San Francisco where you can catch great views of Golden Gate Bridge and the coast. My favorite time to see it is when it is foggy.
“What to say? One of the great parks of the United States. Just head down the hill to Kezar Stadium (at the very bottom of Willard Street) and you'll see the GGP right beyond it (walk around Kezar to the west to enter the park). You can also enter on Stanyan and Haight (and at many other points). Enjoy the Academy of Sciences, de Young Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, Stow Lake, the Conservatory of Flowers (great night time light shows in the summer and winter) and many, many other features of the park.”
“The de Young often features traveling exhibits from all over the world. It's in a fantastic modernist building which has a tower that you can go up (free of charge) for a great view of Golden Gate Park and the surrounding city.”
“What could be better than San Francisco's premier surfing spot only minutes away? Keep an ear out for the many festivities that happen here year out: things like morning yoga, Bay to Breakers, and Corgie Con!”
“Fantastic breakfast & lunch in a beautiful space out by the ocean. Check out charming shops, cafes, and the ocean nearby while waiting for a table. ”
“California Academy of Sciences is housed in a giant new, award-winning building that features a grass roof and indoor tropical rain forest. World-class exhibits of fish, insects, and animals abound, including a live albino alligator named Claude. The planetarium is a must see. 55 Music Concourse Dr. in Golden Gate Park.”
