This is the closest you will find a public beach you can swim at in Bloomington. It’s a great little spot and there’s an awesome hotel called the Fourwinds that has a great restaurant you can grab a bite at while you are here. In addition, there’s a local bar called the Fairfax Inn that has cheap food and drinks here and a convenience store (gas, eggs, milk, bread, sunscreen, toothbrush, lake floats, etc.) on the corner before the entrance of the Fairfax Recreational Park.
