The Acequia in the Missions area still in operation was built by the Spanish Padres that founded the Missions. The Acequia is an engineering wonder which helped farming in the area, dates back to 1700's

Mission Reach is celebrating its 5th Anniversary. It's grown from a forgotten leg of the San Antonio River to a beautifully-restored riparian habitat lined with hike and bike trails that run through riverside parks and quiet scenery south of downtown San Antonio.
