A free, easy, 15-20 minute hike that gives excellent views of the whole town and surrounding areas. Wonderful for any time of day, but great at sunset!

Cross Mountain is located on a historic marl and limestone hill with an elevation of 1951 ft. It was used as an Indian lookout prior to early settlers. In 1847 during the settling of Fredericksburg a timber cross was found on the hilltop.

Super close to the Cork and Screw Haus. Great views, nice hike, great place for a picnic, and a really cool story.
