Located just a couple miles south of The Woodshop, Bread is a specialty pastry shop with amazing baked goods. Tip: Get a cinnamon roll or two!
Amazing local hang out, as the name states, they sell Bread! Buy a loaf of sourdough for your spaghetti dinner or walk over for breakfast for a pastry and coffee. Watch all the local road bikers come and go!
Bread, Sandwiches, Cookies, Muffins... and it's all yummy! When its gone.. its gone for the day. You'll have to come back early the next morning to get your fix. Cash only, no plastic; but never fear! The ATM at the gas station around the corner has your back.
“If you like bookstores, this is an absolute must-do. The staff is highly knowledgeable and very engaged in the literary scene, both locally and nationally. And now recently, the son of the long-time owners of the shop has stepped up to take the reins for the future - a great step for Durango. So, if you like nationally acclaimed bookstores like Tattered Cover (Denver) or Powells (Portland) or Back of Beyond (Moab,) give Maria's a try - we are confident you will not be disappointed!!”
“A local's favorite this trail is a 5 mi loop, gaining 1500 ft of elevation and provides stunning views of the Animas Valley from the top. The upper section is closed seasonally for wildlife habitat.”
“Best local meat and farm fresh vegetables. The setting here is amazing, and you can tour the farm while waiting for your meal to cook. They are temporarily closed while they build a newer and larger restaurant, but it is still worth a visit to their farm market! They should open the new restaurant in early July.”
“The happy hour menu is awesome. Our personal favorite is the Patio Burger with beef from our local Jame’s Ranch. They also have great happy hour calamari. ”

“Check Store hours. Parking lot suitable for cars and pickups; not for RVs or trailers that must park across the street or another location to walk to this store. ”
