James Castle was an uniquely gifted artist. He crafted with scraps from his home and used coal from the fire to draw. His perspective on the world is particularly interesting. This museum is free all the time!

Limited opening hours Thursday through Saturday. This outsider artist was a Boise native . His art is currently in the Smithsonian among other national galleries. This house just opened and gives a great overview of his life.

Historic home of artist James Castle. Incredible gallery inside the actual home, artist in residency programs, and gift shop.
