Caesars Head and Jones Gap State Park have the best hiking trails in South Carolina. This trail system has some of everything including rushing streams, beautiful waterfall cascades, significant elevation change, and scenic mountain views. If you love to hike and enjoy the outdoors treat yourself - and if your going to Jones Gap on the weekend get there early!

12 miles from cabin. Mountain Bridge wilderness encompasses and connects Jones Gap and Ceasars Head State Parks. In the fall, take in the annual migration of the hawks. Some days you can see 6,000 North American hawks, falcons, ospreys, and kestrels making their flight to warmer climates from the Blue Ridge Escarpment 3000’ overlook. It’s awesome to watch these birds ride the thermals. Migration is from Sept 1 to Dec 1 each year.
