Take the water taxi to Georgetown in DC, National Harbor, and Mount Vernon all from the Alexandria water front. The views from the water are some of the most spectacular and seems to be a best kept secret.

Enjoy the ride along the Potomac River.” At about ~ $30 round trip (adult tickets) it provides a unique views of DC with a chance to explore other great neighborhoods.
