A National Arboretum, encompasses 135 hectares of exotic and native trees, shrubs and climbing plantings. It has a 25km tail walk, Native birds, and lovely play ground. In the autumn it is very pretty, with the leaves changing colour.

Located at 2392 Wharekopae Road this is the largest collection of Northern hemisphere trees in the Southern hemisphere covering 131 hectares, 35 k from Gisborne. Absolutely magnificent in Autumn and spring, take a packed lunch and spend the day exploring the many tracks
