On the river at the edge of downtown Boise and housing the Idaho State Historical Museum, Boise Art Museum, Zoo Boise, Idaho Black History Museum, and connected by footbridge to the Discovery Center of Idaho and Boise State University.

“A gorgeous park in downtown Boise. This is also the take out for floating the boise river. The float is very fun and easy to do and most days there is a school bus you can take back to the put in for easy transportation. ”

“The botanical garden and old state pen are definitely beautiful! They do Christmas lights in the winter months and when the garden is in bloom during spring and summer it is gorgeous. They give free tours of the old penitentiary and its fascinating to see!”
