Cute mom and pop business with authentic tamales, Pilar’s is the kind of restaurant where you can taste the love in the food. Incredibly delicious, very healthy, and so satisfyingly filling. And the cherry on top of the tamale is the owner who is so sweet and personable. Menu has great gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.

A hidden jewel in Ann Arbor. Pilar owns the shop and will give you a personal tour! Her homemade tamales are worth the trip.
