If you're training for Half-Dome in Yosemite or just love going "up", Mission Peak is your hike. Takes a half day to get up to the top and its a breathtaking view of the Bay Area.

Cows, turkeys, awesome view from above. Bring water, very hot, windy and no shade at all.

Great hike. Escape the heat by going in the winter or early in the summer because there isn't much shade.
