£££ - Upscale bar and restaurant located on the top floors of the famous Shard. Do book in advance!
Aqua Shard on the 31st floor offers a Mary Poppins afternoon tea complete with carpet bag, umbrella, and candy floss. Inspired by P.L. Travers' book, itself set in and above London, the menu contains nods to various characters who Mary and the Banks children meet on their adventures.
This and the other restaurants at The Shard are great options. You can pop in for just a drink, or you can visit for meals and/or afternoon tea. I'm soon to visit for the Mary Poppins themed afternoon tea and very excited! You can pay to go The View From The Shard, but to me, it's better to sit and…
Most people pay 25 Pounds to go to the top of the Shard for photos. Instead, you can just buy a beer here, sit and relax, and take awesome photos of London's skyline. In my case, we got a bottle of champaign!
“Little bar specialising in a frequently changing selection of draught ales and bottled beers.”
“Traditional Victorian corner pub with tiled exterior, specialising in cask and real ales. ”
“Oblix - The Shard on 32nd floor - Afternoon Tea with a view. Starts from £38 per person and is available Monday to Friday from 12pm-3:30pm each day. ”
“Upscale spot with lanterns, silk curtains and city views, serving dim sum and northern Chinese fare.”
“Duck under the arches behind Maltby Street and you'll arrive at Druid Street, a much more rough-and-ready street-food market. On this stretch, signs are few and far between so it helps to follow your nose. Pojang serves up authentic Korean street-food, Decatur has the best oyster po boys and Rock My Bowl's smoothie bowls manage to make breakfast genuinely exciting. The revolving weekly stalls mean you'll find new vendors every time. On our last visit we discovered Jake's Soul Spread selling incredible jams on their Druid Street debut. The treacle-thick salted butter with honey even comes with a soul and funk breakfast soundtrack.”
