It is considered the second tallest structure in the city on the Neva after the Lakhta Center skyscraper. The height of the peak point of the TV tower reaches 326 meters, while the observation deck is at around 186 meters. The television tower was built in 1956-1962 for television and radio broadcasting to Leningrad and the Leningrad region.
