I would suggest downloading the app for alltrails.com it will give directions, skill level, length, everything you need to know for hiking around here or wherever you want to hike.

These trails snake through old abandoned railroads and tunnels! There are multiple hiking routes for different difficulties, and several loopback points to turn around at, so you don't have to pre-plan your hike too much.

one of the spooky trails of Washington that has a history of railroad along the HWY-2. Personally I love this trail (kids friendly)
