A glacial lake in the national park Durmitor. It's a popular destination for recreation and hiking. During winter there is a popular ski resort in the nearby town, Zabljak.

Black Lake (Crno jezero) is the most famous lake in Žabljak and the biggest one. It is also the nearest to town centar. You can drive there by car and then walk about 15 minutes to the lake. Beautiful nature, restaurant with national food and one hour walking tour arround the lake are the reason to visit this mountain pearl.

The peaks of Durmitor National Park make a stunning backdrop for the Black Lake. An easy 4-kilometer track around the lake meanders past historic caves and grazing cattle. There are boats for hire and it’s an idyllic spot to spread a picnic blanket and enjoy the scenery.

The famous Black lake is one of the most prominent sites of Durmitor. You can take approximately an hour-long hike around it or simply sit by it and enjoy the views.
