As soon as I walk into this charming retro diner on rue Lepic in Montmartre, I’m reminded of all my favorite actors who appear in scenes here, like the boss of the café in Amélie, played by Claire Maurier, who was also in François Truffaut’s 400 Blows, and, of course, the waitress Amélie herself, played by the talented Audrey Tautou. In the restrooms you’ll find objects from the film Amélie, like the garden gnomes she pretends to take pictures of all around the world.
Very famous cafe that was pictured in the film Amelie Poulin. Great and cheap place for a coffee or a diner right in the middle of Montmartre.
