Go here if you want breakfast on a budget. Nothing over $5 on the menu. Lucky is an impressive and witty one-man show. He takes your order, makes your food, busses the tables, and is just a great dude. You can't beat the prices here, and you can't beat the conversation potential with all the friendly and interesting regulars. No guarantees here. Anything can happen. But you should go.

Places like this were rare 10 years ago. Now they're pretty much extinct. Even other "vintage diners" are mostly new places specifically curated for a vintage Americana look. Lucky's serves simple yet delicious breakfast. Breakfast anybody and everybody can enjoy. But the vibe, the environment, the decor, and Lucky himself are a part of a slowly disappearing Asian American era. Something that I hope other first and second generation immigrants can experience with nostalgia. Also it's like $8.00 for a full breakfast. You can't complain.

Enjoy one of the neighborhood’s oldest diners for a cheap and hearty breakfast topped off with a chinese fortune cookie. NOTE: Cash only and allow yourself at least an hour to eat. Lucky’s is a one-man shop but the experience and environment are worth the wait.
