ITINERARIO DECUMANO SUPERIORE [28] - DUOMO E MUSEO DEL TESORO DI SAN GENNARO The Cathedral is dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta and includes the ancient Baptistery and the Royal Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro. It is one of the most important places of worship of all Christendom. The miracle of the liquefaction of the blood of San Gennaro takes place there, three times a year. The immense treasure of San Gennaro, Patron Saint of the city, has been collected over the years thanks to the great devotion of Neapolitan people. The treasure is kept in a special museum, next to the Cathedral.
