Great spot for walking and mountain biking. Bikes available for hire in the weekends, as well as coffee available. Lots of tracks.

McLeans Island (10 minutes away) is a favourite local cycle park. Tracks through the woods vary from 3 km to 20 + km linking with further adventures from the Waimakariri river. Several low gradient tracks for both beginners and intermediate riders through some beautiful forest and river scapes.
