Largest FREE Festival held on the edge of the French Quarter along the Mississippi river, with over 150 bands, mostly local playing all types of music from classical to funk, and over 20 stages, activities for the kids, and lots of local food vendors.

There are many free music festivals in and around the French Quarter. Search for fqfi New Orleans to see festival dates. French Quarter Fest is early April. Satchmo Fest is early August. There is a Tomato Fest, a Seafood Fest, and the list goes on!
