This is an original Division street bar with a rep of having good friend chicken. This was truly hipster before the street became Restaurant Row.

Named one of Portland's best dive bars. They're famous for their fried chicken and jo-jo's (steak fries). If you're planning on eating here make sure to leave plenty of time. They only have one frier and food can take up to 1.5 hours.

One of Portland's few remaining dive bars, specializing in broasted chicken (whatever that is), and populated by real Portlanders (whoever they are). Cheap beer and fairly raucus. If you're in search of the Portland dive bar hipster, (a good name for a band?) try Dot's half a block away. Or the Clinton Street Pub (local hipsters who don't know they're hipsters.) The 2nd best dive bar in the country...according to the NY Times. Fishing themed bar known for fried chicken and potato wedges. Stiff drinks.
