It is the home of HRH Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, and the Duchess of Cornwall (Highgrove) and was an important market for Cotswold wool and yarn during the Middle Ages. Today, it is better associated with boutique shops, great food, and its Royal Connections. Annual events like the soapbox derby ‘Wacky Races’ and Woolsack races on bank holiday mondays in May, are a must see and free.

The nearby home of King Charles at Highgrove Is open to visitors certain days of the year. and this is the nearest town where the famous Highgrove shop is situated. If you enjoy browsing around antiques then this is a great little town to visit.
