The Strathearn Gallery
Beautiful pieces of work to buy by local Scottish and well known artists. Lovely to wander round and appreciate on a drizzly day. Frequent exhibitions.
“Delicious tapas served here along with a nice outside area to sit in the sun. ”
“Lady Mary’s Walk is a popular route in Crieff which runs along the banks of the River Earn. The route was named after Lady Mary Murray, whose family were local landowners in the early 19th century. The picturesque route through woodland and along the banks of the River Earn features an avenue of mature oak, beech, lime and sweet chestnut trees. Some of the larger trees are over 150 years old and the walk can be enjoyed at any time of year. It is particularly beautiful during the autumnal months when the beech trees are a cacophony of rust and gold. Herons, kingfishers, grey wagtails, oystercatchers and dippers live on the river and otters have been seen at dusk.”
“ The Bistro-style restaurant features many dishes from Yann’s home region with specialities such as Fondue and Pierrade on the menu as well as bistro classics like French onion soup, coq au Vin, steak frites and tarte tatin. And of course, the crepes! Tres bon! Vraiment!!”
