Lafayette Park is directly across the street and is considered by many historians to be the oldest urban park west of the Mississippi, home to a gorgeous garden, pond, and Revolutionary War era cannons.

Historic french neighborhood with shops and restaurants. They have one of the more beautiful parks in St. Louis.
