Wow! If you have a chance to drive 80 miles East to Orient Point and take the ferry to CT, it's a happening. The drive gives you an opportunity to see Long Island vineyards. A different time zone! Maybe spend a few hours tasting some of LI finest wines... Stop in the Hamptons....do some shopping....

Drive along the North Shore, past the many wineries on Rt 25 to reach Orient Point State Park and the ferry to New Haven, CT. Great day trip!

The most notable 44 miles of scenic route through Long Island on the way to CT. You will have beautiful water views and many wineries and farms on the way. Cross over to Mystic/New London CT on a beautiful 1 hour and 1/2 sail.
