“Inside Humboldthain, there is a secret spot: The rose garden (open in the summer half of the year only). Here, among the most beautiful flowers, you find the weird mix that Wedding is: From youngsters hanging out to couples kissing on the benches.”
“Opened in May of 2013 next to a park of the same name, Humboldthain now serves as the focal point of the electronic music scene in Wedding. On top of the parties they host every weekend, they also transform into a sports center each Tuesday, with table tennis taking over the dance floors as DJs set the mood by spinning their tracks for “Open Deck” night. Unlike some other clubs here in Berlin, Humboldthain still has a relaxed atmosphere—no long queues or strict bouncers here—as long as you’re there to have a good time (and pay the 10€ entrance fee), you’ll be stepping through those hallowed halls to dance to some of the top DJs here in Berlin.”
“S+U-BAHN TAKES YOU DIRECTLY TO ALEX IN 5 MIN AND ANYWHERE ELSE YOU NEED TO GET”
“Located on an unassuming corner in Wedding, where things get a little quieter, Fünf & Sechzig is perfect for trying traditional German cuisine without feeling overly traditional. The portions are hearty and filling, and the restaurant is known for its schnitzel and spaetzle. There’s also house-made beer in addition to a cocktail and wine list. The charming interior is coated in rich colors which add to the homely feel, and there’s also outdoor seating to enjoy the delicious dishes when it’s warm out.”
“Volta is one of the few restaurants of the district that caters to a quite young and modern crowd. It’s located in a pavillion on the side of Brunnenstraße in a quite urban looking neighborhood. But don’t be fooled by the surroundings, once you’ve reached the beer garden or the inside of the restaurant you will feel comfortable. They offer a variety of clever and tasty small dishes, a few big dishes and one amazing dessert that you have to try no matter what. There are some cool vegetarian options as well. What the place is most famous for is the beer from a local micro brewery in the district. A lot of people actually come here only for that. You might need reservations as it’s quite popula”
