While public transportation is not super good in the area. The TRE connects with Victory Station (DART) and it takes you into Downtown Dallas.

Nearby train station for day trips into Dallas. Free parking and you can purchase train tickets on your phone or on the platform. $10 roundtrip to Dallas and back.
