For White Sox games, you can get to Guaranteed Rate field easily via the CTA trains. Take the Green Line train downtown to the State/Lake stop and transfer (for free) to the Red Line train going south to 35th Street/Sox Park stop. It will take about 30-45 minutes, depending on the trains.

Home of the Chicago White Sox. Tickets can be very inexpensive and if the weather is nice, it's a nice walk. 35th Street red hots across the street has great fries.
