Tubing and kayaking on the French Broad river in the Asheville/Hendersonville area. Due to deep water and frequent obstacles, the minimum age for tubing is 13. This outfitter runs different trips, going to different areas.

Lazy Otter Outfitters is located just outside of Hendersonville in Mills River. They offer Kayak, canoe, paddle boards and tube trips on 20 miles of the "undiscovered" French Broad: through Henderson County. Easy flat water good for any level of paddler. Reservations are required, no walk ins.

If you're looking for a quiet paddle - canoe or kayak - or tubing, go to the lazy part of the French Broad River. This river outfitter is just 3.5 miles east of Base Camp! And we offer guests a discount too!. Call and ask for Matt.

They'll set you up with everything you need for a relaxing float down the French Broad River. They'll even pick you up and bring you back to your vehicle.
