It's in every single movie about NY so you would be remiss to pass it by. Also offers lovely views of people in their rowboats in the summer.

Classic Central Park location. From here you can rent a row boat and / or view the pond. Walk south to Sheep's Meadow and have a picnic, and view the Midtown skyline. Strawberry Fields is also close by.
