Ville médiévale qui a des marchés dominicaux très sympas ainsi que des marchés aux puces d'anthologie. Profitez-en pour déjeuner place du marché chez Sabsavino. Nice medieval town. Try getting there for the Sunday Market and eat lunch on the market place at Sansavino. It also holds great flea markets.

A nearby village, about 20 minutes away from Sauve has a lively Saturday marche and Sunday Brocante each week. A variety of restaurants, an old castle on the hill, and a beautiful river makes it a great day. The best Crepe restaurant you can find anywhere is in Sommieres and has a terrace overlooking the river. Make a reservation during summer months. In the summer there are the Taureau games that are great fun to watch.

Sommieres is a town dominated by its river and its market. On the first Saturday of August each year the two combine in the spectacular Abrivado through the town which sees the Gardienne drive cattle into the river FVidourle on horseback. locals potter around in small inflatables to general hilarity and you can enjoy this by taking up station on the crowded river bank, or if you get there early and sip a coffee slowy, from one of the bankside cafes. The market is well worth a visit and features a great Bric a Brac section in which you can buy anything from an ancient edition of Asterix through to an Ameircan WWII Jeep (not kidding!)
