Want a piece of the local life? This joint is always busy. ALWAYS. 20 minute drive east of Temple. A perennial favorite with the locals. Try the jalapeno and cheese stuffed sausage kolaches on the deli side or order a delicious bacon cheeseburger with a coke. They make all their own sausages and meats to order by the pound. Fresh made pastry too.

If you can take a drive to Green's - it is well worth the trip - Excellent meats of all sorts but specializing in sausage. Also a cafe.
