SWIMMING. A few people know that Athens has a huge coast, ideal for swimming from May to October. Just get to the Tram Station Syntagma or the closest one at FIX, take the Tram to ASKLIPIIO VOULAS and disembark at Edem (appr. 25'). Your are at the beach.

Public sand beach. You should take your own umbrella if you are not sunbathing, there is not much to cover you from the sun.

Closest public beach within the City. Take any tram from Sintagma Square until they reach seafront. Plenty cafes, local tavernas as well as beach chairs on the spot. Or simply throw the towel on the sand&enjoy your day. Just don't forget the sunblock)
