Gorgeous sunsets in a cafe/bar where locals have a beer (fino). Not touristic nor fancy.

Going to Foz is a mandatory program for anyone visiting Porto. And spread the towel at Homem do Leme Beach, too. Like all beaches in the area, it has a blue flag and rocks are part of the scenery. For the little ones there is a playground, right in front of the beach; for the bigger ones, two bars with everything you fancy in summer: lupine, fine and mojitos. HOW TO GET THERE: There's no way to deceive. Head to Foz do Douro and stay on the road until you find Avenida Montevideo.

One of the many beaches you can visit. There are two restaurants here: the old and the new one. I always choose the old one: typical comfortable food for the sole.
