Aberdare Park - Aberdare’s very own public park. As well as a boating lake, tennis courts, and an adventure playground, there are gardens, trees and it is a popular spot for birdwatching. A cafe is open in the summer months, and it is a popular parkrun route on Saturdays.

Located 2 miles from the Cottage. Aberdare Park dates from the Victorian ages and still has its original boating lake, you can sail around it on either a swan or a dragon paddle boat. Lakeside Cafe. Adventure Playground. Tennis Courts. Aberdare town center is just a few minutes away if you fancy a browse in the shops or a bite to eat.

The Park has a boating lake with lakeside cafe, as well as a Bandstand and Gorsedd Circle. The fountain situated behind the cafe is the same one which stands outside Raffles Hotel in Singapore.
