A 14th Century mosque on a beautiful river estuary. A stunning place to take a walk, and sit and admire the view with a picnic and some drinks. Best to go at sunset, weekdays.

Historically ancient mosque that built and used by early Arab merchants for prayers as they toured the East Coast in the 14th Century, Kongo Mosque is said to be the oldest mosque in Eastern Africa.

One of the oldest mosque has been maintained over the years. There is also a river that connects to the Indian Ocean. Lots of locals and the best sundowners with friends either by just sitting on the sandy shores or a chilled ngalawa ride with the local fishermen along the mangroves.
