This scenic drive through Maui’s stunning seaside cliffs and alongside waterfalls should be on everyone’s to do list. The restricted speeds on this 65-mile route takes time. There are treacherous curves and blind corners, so dedicate a whole day to this adventure and bring the Dramamine (if you are prone to motion sickness)! Don’t forget to stop by one of the many food trucks/stands for seriously good tacos or banana bread. There is tons of information available about Hana. If your not one for a long drive, helicopter rides are available, too!

This is an all day car trip with plenty of places to pull over and hike. Start early in the morning, bring a phone charger, and download the Shaka Maui app to enjoy a self-guided tour with many opportunities to explore sights. I loved walking through lava tubes and hiking out to waterfalls.
