Tour Isla Tortuga by catamaran! About the tour The boat ride takes off in La Marina de los Sueños, Herradura and will be from 7:00 am – 5:30 pm. It is conveniently situated about 10 minutes away from Jacó and 1 hour away from the airport. This means that you will waste no time in joining the adventure! Prepare to explore the beautiful waters of the Pacific Ocean and the tropical paradise of Isla Tortuga! We leave at 7:45 am and it’ll be a 45-minute ride to get to the island. Once you get aboard the Costa Cat the crewmembers will have fresh coffee from Costa Rica, freshly made muffins, and fresh fruits. Once we get there you will have different water activities to choose from; banana boats, kayaks, the “Aquanaut”, surfboards, and paddleboarding! Our catamaran tour is perfect for everybody! Tortuga Island is a full day tour, departing from Santa Teresa, Malpais or Montezuma. It is 40 minutes away by boat and you can spot dolphins, whales or turtles depending on the season. Once on the island there are two snorkeling points where you can see all types of fish and underwater species. The tour includes lunch and drinks. We recommend wearing lots of protection and a hat!
