One of Nanaimo's favourite hidden beaches is just a 5 minute drive away! The beach itself is beautiful, but the only access is via taking the 100+ stairs down and back up! If you're looking for a workout - this is also a popular place for people to go to do the stairs!

When the tide is out, Blueback Beach offers gorgeous sandy beach. Heads up its a long way down and 296 stairs back up. Many locals incorporate Blueback into their Gym routine. It is a long haul back up. Caution if you have bad knees, feet or sore back

Be prepared for a workout of 280+ stairs to come back up...but the view from the beach is worth it :)

I recommend you to watch the sunset at this most beautiful beach, you will surely marvel at the magical magnificence of nature. It's only a four-minute walk, and you can listen to the birds singing, which is definitely a peaceful visit for your heart. Getting down to the beach have to walk through some steps, which is also good exercise.
