Rocktown is one of the best bouldering areas in the southeast and is known for its amazing sandstone with bomber slopers, crimps, huecos, rails and intense top-outs. Rocktown is relatively uncrowded, depending on the season. It's also a relatively new location with ongoing development and some undocumented lines. No bathrooms and no camping.

Short easy hike to massive granite rocks. You can climb and explore the tops or explore from below. Kid friendly.

Nestled in the middle of the enormous Crockford-Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management Area, the Rocktown Trail is easily one of the most popular hikes in the area. Although this hike is scenic in its own unique way, it is most popular in the climbing community as one of the most diverse bouldering destinations in the South. The trail’s unique 200 million-year-old rock formations make this a great spot to explore.

RockTown.....Must have a GA Fishing, Hunting, or Land Use Pass....Great for a well marked kids trail and for bouldering. Also, See Pigeon Mountain below.

If you love bouldering and climbing, then you have surely heard of Rock Town. This unmarked, natural bouldering and climbing area is a local and regional favorite.
