Great short hike into the woods to a nice river.

About a 20 minute easy to moderate hike to a brook. Great for families. You can walk an additional 30 minutes along the brook.

The trail for Madison Cascades is behind the parking lot of the Madison Historical Society. Go south on route 113 and where 113 makes a sharp right turn, keep going straight and the historical society is on the left right there. At the parking lot, there is a little hill with a fence. Walk to the right around the fence, up the hill and you will see the trail. It's about an hour round trip, not too difficult... lots of cool waterfalls.

An easy hike, not wheelchair accessible, very close to the cabin. Good for an hour romp on an autumn afternoon, or a bit of snowshoeing in the winter.
